to back track a little, on 10/13, thomas went to his first pumpkin patch. there were some goats and a small piglet there. he was very excited to get to touch them. incidentally, this first pic is almost exactly like a picture of me with my dad at around that age. and the goat's butt is even facing the same way. i'll have to post that pic when i find it.
we had a lot of fun examining all the pumpkins. they had varietal gourds as well. for some reason, thomas was intent on getting this one over his head.
this was a small patch in pleasanton. pumpkins are not cheap! we ended up taking 2 smallish ones (like the one behind william) and 1 mini one home. the bigger ones are $20-40!
