First Birthday Cake

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it this past Sunday with such short notice! Thanks as well to all the well-wishers and those who sent b-day greetings. As you can see, thomas was little bewildered by everyone who was staring at us and the singing was loud so he was not smiling. No matter what we did he would not smile. he realized that there were a LOT of people looking right at him. ha ha... a least he is not self-conscious yet to the point where he wants to hide.

There was one moment at the end where we had the three babies, thomas, sara and joshua on the cart we use to move tables around. it was so funny - i can't believe we didn't get a picture. they all were clinging there, as the cart slowly moved forward. i think they actually understand that they are getting a ride. so sweet and funny :). thanks again everyone...

Hi Catherine!

Sorry I missed the party! I was thinking of going, but then Ethan fell asleep and kept sleeping until 4:30.

Thomas looks so grown up! I was looking at the wall of pics of Ethan at my Mom's house and it amazing how fast their faces, bodies, expressions, attitudes, etc change. *sigh*

I would love some cake, but I probably won't see you guys for another week. John's plane comes in at 4:30 on Sunday, so I'll miss church again.

Just want to take a moment to thank Catherine for keeping the blog updated...there are times when I sit at work and wonder what the hell I'm doing here in a cubicle; then pulling up the blog it reminds me it's to provide for the little Kuo clan back in the village of Dublin. :)

It's nice to walk in the house on most days and instantly drop thoughts of work when Thomas flashes his big smile with mommy a couple of steps behind...

Hey Catherine! Wow, talk about small worlds....congrats on your 1+ year old Thomas! I was thrilled to discover that Frank is your dad. I'm finishing seminary @ Western this year...just got married this past Dec (if you have time check out www.xanga.com/snoopyhuey - Jana's my lovely wife!). Also working part time @ Sunset Church in San Francisco (sunsetchurchsf.org). Anyways, I'd better get back to taking notes in class. Please say hi to William (and now Thomas, too)!
